Time refers to spending time with God in prayer. Join with fellow parishioners at one of our opportunites for communal prayer, or commit to a daily/weekly time of personal prayer. The Catholic Church has many beautiful prayers to help you connect with God.
Talent refers to using your God-given gifts to build up your community; in other words, sharing the gift of yourself. Can you commit to using your talent weekly, by serving in one of our Mass-related ministries? Your talents would also be much appreciated with our parish picnic, rummage sale, sorting gifts for the Giving Tree project, the Warming Center,
Hospitality Sundays, and social occasions. Other opportunities to share your talents can be found in parish groups, and special skills are always needed, such as musical talent, gardening, decorating, or technical skills.
Treasure refers to supporting your parish and fellow Catholics materially. Some opportunites for donations of money and goods are detailed below.
Our parish operations are supported directly by the weekly offertory collection and two yearly fundraisers (a raffle held during our parish picnic, and our yearly rummage sale). Your financial contributions will be honored and put to work building up of the Kingdom of God with transparency and accountability.
The Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) is a diocesan-wide fund drive, with a new appeal beginning each year in early May. Funds raised by our parishioners over and above our parish goal are returned to the parish for our use.

A wicker chest for non-perishable food donations is located inside the church, before the first row of pews inside the main entrance. Food is collected and distributed by our parish chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. We have a constant need for canned tuna, canned chicken, macaroni & cheese, cereal, soup, jam, peanut butter, canned vegetables, and canned fruit; however all non-perishable donations are welcome and appreciated! Also, check the parish bulletin for updated requests. Thanks!
Parishioners who generously donate clothing and shoes will notice that the collection bins have been removed from our St. Faustina parking lot. We encourage anyone who has donations of clean, useable items for the SVdP thrift stores to take donations directly to one of the stores in our area. There is one located on Stephenson, just south of 12 Mile in Madison Heights. Another store is in Utica, north of M-59 on Van Dyke. We support the Madison Heights store by having a volunteer working at that location. If anyone in our parish is looking for an opportunity to do volunteer work at a thrift store, contact our office at 586-773-9231 for more information. Our volunteers “earn” credit that we are able to give to those in need to shop for clothing and household items. The stores are brimming with interesting items to choose from at reasonable prices if you are a shopper! St. Vincent de Paul will also pick up larger donations at your home, to arrange this call 313-393-3025 . Finally, our Conference here at St. Faustina will arrange for a “Bundle Sunday”, which means a truck will be available at our church location to accept donations on a particular weekend. We will notify you in the bulletin when we plan this. Thank you for your generous support!
Bring newspapers, magazines, etc to the green recyling bins in the south parking lot. Our parish receives a monthly check based on the amount of paper collected for recycling.
